Just pick up chicken necks from the local grocery store and insert in the bait trap. Drop the cage in the water and wait for your catch. 

If you prefer not to wait, Chesapeake Landing market not more than 10 minutes away provides the freshest crabs in the area. Take them to go fresh (yes alive and moving) or steamed.

If you would rather leave the crab cooking to someone else, try crab cakes from any local restaurant, including Chesapeake Landing, and you will enjoy the region's finest delicacy.

10. Boating

The best view of the Bay and its tributaries is from on the water itself. You can use the small water craft at the Cottage, or charter a sail out of The Inn at Perry Cabin. The Selina II sets sail every evening during the summer season from St Michaels on the Miles River. Fishing charters and Bay Charters are available at Knapps Narrows on Tilghman Island.
